Le Comité du personnel joue un rôle important dans les relations sociales, surtout en ces temps de crise. Nous avons besoin de cet organe en état de fonctionner et pour cela, il faut voter le 18 mai pour obtenir le quorum.

Au CRCO, à l'IFPU 2, à Luxembourg, Maastricht, Karlsruhe et Prague, il y a autant de paires de candidats que de postes à pouvoir. Ces candidats ont besoin de votre vote pour atteindre le quorum.

Dans les autres sites, U4U vous propose de voter prioritairement pour les candidats qui ont fait la preuve dans leur action passée de leur investissement dans la défense du personnel ou dont la candidature symbolise la participation d'une catégorie du personnel victime de discrimination. Il est tout à fait important que vos élus aient la capacité et la volonté de s'impliquer dans des dossiers souvent complexes et dont les enjeux sont réels.

Cette liste a été établie sans tenir compte d'un quelconque rattachement syndical ou associatif mais en prenant en compte exclusivement la volonté de ces candidats d'œuvrer efficacement et avec abnégation à la défense de l'Agence et de son personnel.

Nous avons tous vu le message du DG nous invitant à voter. Mais sait-il que ses services n'hésitent pas à menacer les membres du Comité du Personnel lorsque ceux-ci ne se montrent pas dociles ? 

Le Comité du Personnel ayant refusé de siéger à une réunion du Comité Paritaire parce que les documents soumis ne l'avaient été que très partiellement et trop tard, comme l'a d'ailleurs reconnu en séance son Président, le Directeur Ressources a envoyé à l'un de ses membres une lettre menaçante, parlant d' " unprofessional, unacceptable behaviour ". Si c'est la conception du dialogue social qui s'annonce, alors nous allons au devant de conflits certains.

C'est pourquoi, le 18 mai, il nous faut voter pour des candidats capables de faire valoir leurs droits, nos droits en fait, à un dialogue réel, basé sur un respect mutuel.

The Staff Committee plays an important role in staff/management relations, especially in these times of crisis. We need this body to be in a position to function, and for this reason we must vote on 18 May so that the required minimum turn-out is achieved.

At the CRCO, at the IFPU2, and in Luxembourg, Maastricht, Karlsruhe and Prague, there will be as many candidates as seats on the Committee. These candidates will therefore need you to vote for them in order for the required minimum turn-out to be achieved.

At the other sites, U4U would ask you to vote first and foremost for those candidates who have demonstrated, through the manner in which they have acted in the past, their commitment to the defence of the staff's interests. It is vitally important that those you elect have the ability and the will to get involved in matters which are often complex and in which the stakes are high.

This list has been drawn up without taking into account any trade union or other affiliations, merely the willingness of these candidates to work efficiently and selflessly in defence of the Agency and its staff.

So please cast your vote on 18 May.

We have all seen the message from the DG asking us to vote, but is he aware that his services have had no qualms about threatening members of the Staff Committee who have refused to toe management's line ? 

When the Staff Committee refused to sit at a meeting of the Joint Committee because very few documents had been submitted and those which had been submitted had arrived late, as was recognised at the meeting by its Chairman, the Director of Resources sent one of its members a threatening letter, speaking of "unprofessional, unacceptable behaviour". If this is the sort of social dialogue we can expect, then there are sure to be disputes ahead.

This is why on 18 May we must vote for candidates capable of standing up for their rights, indeed our rights, in a genuine dialogue based on mutual respect.
