Employee malaise in the European institutions
Suicides, burn-out, discrimination and dismissals of trade union delegates at the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Central Bank (ECB)… Trade unions and elected politicians are sounding the alarm about the ill-being of employees in the European institutions. The main culprit is the legal impunity of these institutions: they are not subject to any national legislation, are not subject to any external control and introduce their own regulations. We take a closer look.
