Cultural walks in Brussels
October 22, 2023 @ 8h00 - January 21, 2024 @ 17h00

This type of event takes place throughout the year. We will let you know the dates as they become available.
A walk through Brussels and the social, economic and cultural history of Belgium. Invitations are sent to members of our membership list. No need to register, just turn up at the meeting point. These walks are, of course, free of charge.
The last tour took place on Saturday 1 April. We visited the Cathedral of Saints-Michel-et-Gudule in Brussels. With its origins dating back to the creation of a chapter of canons in the 11th century, the very recent (it only acquired this status in the 1960s) Brussels cathedral was built in stages between the 12th and 16th centuries. Its stained glass windows, to which few people pay more than aesthetic attention, nevertheless tell the story, almost like a comic strip, of a terrible “secret” that speaks to us
the history of mentalities in our regions.
